Photo Club Event: Photo Scavenger Hunt

Update: What if it rains on Saturday??? Photo scavenger hunt list will still be available in the visitor center on Saturday 7am-4pm. The list will also be emailed at 7am to photo club members and others on our photo club distribution list. If Saturday is yucky muddy rainy, you can choose to come to Hagerman NWR another day to do the photo scavenger hunt. Have fun!

The Friends of Hagerman NWR Nature Photography Club will have a Photo Scavenger Hunt.

Photo club members, guests, and visitors are welcome to participate in the photo scavenger hunt. No registration is required. Use cameras, phones, or tablets.

7:00 am. A list of photo scavenger hunt categories will be available in the Visitor Center starting at 7:00 am. The Visitor Center will be open early at 7:00 am for photographers that like to shoot in the early morning light. Sunrise is expected to be 7:40 am. Visitor Center will close at the regular time of 4:00 pm.

• Pick up a category list from the Visitor Center between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Go out on the Hagerman NWR grounds to capture photographs that match each category. Use your creativity! There is no wrong interpretation of the categories.
• You can start at any time on Saturday, October 28th. Take as much time as you want on that date. There's no contest for getting done the fastest or completing all categories. Just have fun!
• What might be one of the categories??? Maybe "Pattern and Texture" will be a category. You can photograph anything that has a pattern or texture.

We will present a slideshow of photo club members' photos during the November 18th photo club meeting. It will be fun to see what everyone interprets for each category.

How to submit your photos for the slideshow at the November 11th photo club meeting.

• We ask that photos you submit were taken on October 28th on the grounds of Hagerman NWR.
• Send only 1 photo per category. You do not need to send a photo for each category. Choose your favorites!
• Filename of each image should include the category and your name. Filename example: Pattern_and_Texture_Lisa_Wilkins.jpg.
• Send your images no later than Sunday, November 7th. Images received after November 7th will not be included in the slideshow.
  
• Use either of two methods to send your images:

  • Email your images to FOHphotoclub@gmail.com.
