2018 Butterfly Garden Walks
Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 7:41pm

The Butterfly Garden docents at Hagerman NWR have announced the 2018 Garden Walk schedule.  Walks are set for the first, third and where applicable, the fifth Saturday each month, April through October. For April and May walks will be held from 10 am - Noon.  For June through September, the walks are set for 9:30 - 11:30 am.

Walks are family friendly and offer an oppornity to learn more about native Texas plants for the North Texas area and to view visiting butterflies.  Docents can explain the plant butterfly connection and have close-focus binoculars to loan for your visit. Children may enjoy watching the Monarch metamorphosis puppet  go through the  stages of the Monarch life cycle or completing a garden journal. Be sure to bring your camera!  You may come and stay during the walk or come and go, and all is free of charge.

Walks are not held in case of rain.
