Attachment: Click here Laurie Sheppard & Nancy Miller 1/14/2010 Thank you to all who attended the FOH Nature Photo Club meeting on Saturday. Attached are minutes from the meeting, thanks to our new secretary, Nancy Miller. Those who weren't able to come missed a great presentation on Depth of Field by Eileen Sullivan. The slides have been posted on the FOH website so even if you missed the meeting, you can learn about this technique. Check it out. As a new club, we're learning and refining our meetings and processes. It was great to see everyone's pictures, but it took us way too long to change media between each one. For the next meeting we'll try having you send your photo to this email address and I will pull all pictures received onto a single CD or flash drive. I expect that will make our sharing more efficient. The theme for the next meeting is Herons & Egrets, so start looking for your perfect shot. Try to include what you learned from Eileen's presentation. I'll send a reminder out as it gets closer. Finally, this needs to be a high participation club. We'll be taking on some of the photographic outreach programs currently managed by the FOH such as the Photo Safaris, Photographer of the Month and the annual Photo Contest. We're also going to produce a photographer's guide to the refuge. Please let me know which committee you would like to join. That's all for now. See you at the refuge... |
