Sibley led a field trip, signed books, and for the keynote presentation, provided a demonstration of the illustration process for his books. The painting created by Sibley during his presentation was up for auction at the close of the event, with proceeds benefitting Hageman NWR.
Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge offers an 11,000 acre-plus home for wildlife - water, marsh, prairie and woods, with over 300 bird species sighted since the Refuge was established. Click for Species Check Lists for the Refuge. In addition, field trips will visit nearby Eisenhower State Park, the Denison Dam of Lake Texoma, and the Caddo Grasslands in our neighboring county. May will be prime time for wild flowers in the Blackland Prairie, as well! Area museums, art galleries and lake amenities offer additional activities for enhancing your stay.
An outstanding array of eagles, hawks, falcons and owls has won the rapt attention and hearts of enthralled audiences throughout the nation.
