Guide to Raasch Trail

Click Guide to Raasch Trail (Old Trains and Terry Lane) for information on this unofficial trail at the Refuge - actually Wildlife Drive connects the beginning of both this trail and Meadow Pond Trail, as they both, along with Wildlife Drive, were the original railroad route to the town of Hagerman. The trail is now called Raasch Trail in honor of long-time volunteer, Doug Raasch.

You will find Bluebird nest boxes along this trail also; please do not tap on the boxes or try to open them, as during the nesting season this can cause  young birds who may be inside to fledge prematurely, thanks.

The Meyers unit, including Raasch Trail, will  be closed to the public for the archery deer hunt on these dates, November 4 - 6, November 18 - 20, and December 2 - 4, 2011.
