Outdoor Crew Does Good Work!

The Outdoor Crew at Hagerman NWr will meet from 8 - 10 am on Tuesday, September 5 and Saturday, September 23.

Chair Larry Vargus says that they plan to work on refinishing one or two of the Butterfly Garden benches, which will take from 2 - people for each bench. The other project will be to work on Harris Creek trail cutting back weeds, setting some sign posts, and filling mud holes with rock.  This is outside work and we need to dress appropriately: gloves, work clothes that protect from weeds and brush, eye protection, and boots - while we should not be in water there still could be muddy areas.  If you have loppers, bow saw or other hand held equipment that helps you cut brush please bring them. For those that want to refinish a bench a palm sander would be of use. The Refuge has some equipment for those that do not have any. The weather forecast looks good at present. If anything changes voluntters will be contacted.

Vargus  asks that those who want to help use CONTACT and they will be sent details, any schedule change, etc. by email.
